Dr. Wanga confirmed that he has learned about how to improve our specific business environment in the context of Export and Special Economic Zones for attracting investors to grow Tanzania economy. India has succeeded in SEZ by relaxing respective conditions for attracting investors in SEZ mainly to support investors whose equity exceeds leveraged investments and exporters whose proceeds or forex earnings exceed forex leakages on imports. The Indian SEZs also execute the production link incentive schemes (PLIS) and their occupancy rate is 95%.
